on labor day we decided to get out of brentwood and head to the beach. my husband had never been to the santa cruz boardwalk so we battled the crowds to eat some sweets, play carnival games, and ride the famous merry-go-round (yes, most of the riders were adults, don't judge). then we drove down to capitola for a nice quiet romantic dinner. already trying to find a day when we can go back!
